What is the best way to acquire a perfect tan?
Incorporate 3 - 7 Orbit sessions and 1 - 2 Omega sessions with a recommended tan accelerating lotion and moisturizer.

What is the difference between UVA and UVB?
UVA and UVB are both forms of ultraviolet light emitted by the sun as well as by indoor tanning lamps. While both are involved in obtaining a tan, they each penetrate your skin to cause different reactions. While UVB is commonly associated with sunburn, it is a necessary ingredient for acquiring a tan. UVB stimulates melanocytes in your skin to produce melanin while UVA darkens the melanin, forming a tan. Our lamps produce a perfectly controlled atmosphere for tanning by filtering out all but the necessary amounts of UVB.

What is the difference between the Orbit and the Omega?

10 - 12 Minute maximum tanning time

The Omega
High Pressure
All UVA
20 Minute maximum tanning time

What if I’m taking medications?
Many prescription and non-prescription medications may affect the way your skin reacts to UV exposure. If taking medication, you should consult with your doctor or pharmacist prior to tanning indoors or outdoors in order to determine if there is a risk.

Is it necessary to protect my eyes while tanning?
While tanning indoors, always wear indoor tanning goggles that meet federal protection standards. Eyelids are not sufficient protection from ultraviolet light. Indoors or outdoors, over time, UV light can damage the eyes. For sanitary reasons, eyewear should not be shared.

Does indoor tanning cause skin cancer?
There are many factors associated with getting skin cancer. The most important of these are heredity and skin type. It is also true that repeated and prolonged UV overexposure, whether obtained indoors or outdoors, may increase your risk of getting certain skin cancers.

By patronizing a responsible, educated and clean tanning facility, you can maintain your tan throughout the year with minimal effort and risk. Gradual tanning in a properly maintained Orbit or Omega tanning unit allows you to tan in a controlled environment designed to reduce the risk of overexposure.

Is it safe to tan year round?
It is recommended that you should maintain a base tan, which is your body’s natural sunscreen. Moderation is the key. Following the correct tanning program and using the recommended accelerators, post-tanning and daily moisturizers specifically designed for indoor tanning will give you optimal results. Our Orbit and Omega systems deliver a deeper, longer lasting tan, allowing you to obtain superior results with less frequent use than a standard tanning bed, thus reducing your overall UV exposure time.
